Tab Locker Pro ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains our data practices in clear, simple terms.

2. Data Collection

Tab Locker Pro does NOT collect any user data.

We do not:

3. Local Storage

The Extension stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's storage API:

• 🔐 Encrypted passwords for locked URLs (AES-256 bit encryption)
• 🔗 List of locked URLs (only the URLs you choose to lock)
• ⚙️ User preferences (dark mode setting)
• 📝 Audit logs of lock/unlock actions (timestamps only)

Important: This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any servers, cloud storage, or third parties.

4. Permissions Explained

The Extension requires the following Chrome permissions:

• storage: Save encrypted passwords locally on your device
• activeTab: Read current tab URL when you click the extension icon
• scripting: Inject the lock overlay on tabs
• tabs: Detect when you switch tabs to trigger auto-lock
• <all_urls>: Work on all websites (only checks if URL is locked)

What we DON'T do with these permissions:

• We don't read page content
• We don't track which websites you visit
• We don't monitor your browsing behavior
• We don't access tabs you haven't locked

5. Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit any data to third parties. There are no third-party services integrated into this extension.

6. Analytics & Tracking

We do not use:

• Google Analytics
• Tracking pixels
• Telemetry
• Error reporting services
• Any form of usage tracking

7. External Servers & Network Requests

The Extension does not communicate with any external servers. It functions 100% offline. No internet connection is required for the extension to work.

8. Data Security

Your passwords are protected using:

• AES-GCM 256-bit encryption
• PBKDF2 key derivation (100,000 iterations)
• SHA-256 cryptographic hashing
• Random initialization vectors (IV) per encryption

All encryption happens locally using your browser's Web Crypto API.

9. Children's Privacy

Tab Locker Pro does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

10. Changes to Privacy Policy

We will update this policy if our practices change. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

11. Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there is no data to:

• Request access to
• Request deletion of
• Request correction of
• Request export of

All data is stored locally on your device and you can delete it anytime by:

• Unlocking URLs through the extension
• Uninstalling the extension
• Clearing Chrome's extension storage
